In der PopFarm wachsen Salate, Kräuter und Gemüse in einem Wasserkreislauf. Angereichert mit Nährstoffen ist die hydroponische Vertikalfarm ganz ohne Erde sehr leicht und dadurch für gebäudeintegriertes Farming bestens geeignet.
Ultralokal produzieren wir da, wo auch konsumiert wird. Die Pflanzen kommen aus dem Reallabor Roof Water-Farm inmitten von Berlin und wachsen hier im HydroTower – SpinOff der Roof Water-Farm und StartUp der TU Berlin. Mit der PopFarm sparen wir Fläche, Wasser, Verpackung und Transportwege und machen Urban Farming zum Bestandteil klimaresilienter Infrastrukturentwicklung.
Lettuces, herbs and vegetables are growing in a water cycle in the PopFarm. Enriched with nutrients, the hydroponical farm works without any soil and is therefore very light and ideally suited for building-integrated farming. We produce ultralocally where we consume. The plants come from the living lab Roof Water-Farm in the middle of Berlin and grow here in the HydroTower – SpinOff of the Roof Water-Farm and StartUp of the TU Berlin. With the PopFarm, we save space, water, packaging and transport and make urban farming a component of climate-smart infrastructure development.
